Backlash from the BP oil spill?

A seemingly anonymous gift left on the front porch of a Houston home owned by an oil company executive has the city's affluent population of oil profiteers on edge this weekend, after that package exploded and seriously injured a 62-year-old woman.

Neighbors of the victim told an ABC News affiliate in Houston that the bomb was disguised as a box of chocolates in a gift bag, left on the home's doorstep around Thursday.

Most likely : greedy nutcase.
Most dangerous? : What happens when "regular people" just get fed up and start their own little versions of Small War?

Pretty good analysis IMO.

Given the public anger over the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, were there any similar attacks on bankers during that long running crisis?

In the UK one prominent Scottish banker had his home's windows stoned, IIRC his family had moved out due to anger.

Oil profiteers? Surprised they didn't just call them running dog lackies, and capitalist stooges.

Careful, Comrade - the local branch of Incsoc might not take kindly to your crimethink.

I don't know of any extreme violence that has been used but there have been demonstrations and protest that included an incident where some protesters showed up at a bankers personal residence. But so far no guns or bombs that I am aware of.
