It struck me recently amidst my online newspaper reading I'd seen short items by retired senior intelligence agency leaders: an Israeli from Mossad:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/israel/8501120/Israels-former-spy-chief-says-Iran-strike-would-be-stupid.html , the soon to retire FBI Director (USA):http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,2067995,00.html#ixzz1Lb1H7hA1 and today the British SIS (MI6):http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/books/8499137/Sir-John-Scarlett-MI6-has-no-room-for-mavericks.html

All are in the mainstream media, so I am sure a strong element of "spin" is present, sometimes such interviews can help outsiders understand.

The ex-Mossad Director's comments have led to many articles and I've used just one.
