SWC have often discussed the issues of stabilization, stability, post-conflict situations, civilian operations in conflict zones and lessons learnt - although a search found too many hits, except for stabilization a few threads were on topic.

Today I read an article 'Building stability overseas: shifts in UK strategy and suggestions for implementation', which has a few links too:http://www.opendemocracy.net/jeremy-allouche/building-stability-overseas-shifts-in-uk-strategy-and-suggestions-for-implementation

Amongst the links I found this official UK Report 'Responding to Stabilization Challenges in Hostile and Insecure Environments: Lessons Identified by the UK's Stabilisation Unit', from November 2010 on:http://www.stabilisationunit.gov.uk/attachments/article/520/Top%20Lessons%20from%20Stabilisation%20and%20Confl ict.pdf

Incidentally their website is:http://www.stabilisationunit.gov.uk/
