Came across a piece in the Charlotte Observer today with the punny title Army Dropping number of Paratrooper Troops (http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2013/11/30/4508563/army-dropping-number-of-paratrooper.html#.UpuPGoVU3Zc) informing that the 101st Airborne's pathfinders are going off jump status. I know that the Australian 3RAR went off jump status a couple of years ago, as well.
Anyone out there willing to give an informed ballpark estimate of the financial savings involved in percent when taking a unit off jump status?
