The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University seeks to fill a full-time term appointment as Professor of Practice or other appropriate title in International Security Studies beginning in the academic year 2015-2016. The appointment will be for two-three years with the rank to be determined. The Fletcher School is a multidisciplinary professional graduate school with an emphasis on international affairs and the global perspective.

The new faculty member should have core competencies in cybersecurity and the national security decision making process, and will be expected to teach courses on each of these topics annually. A third course will also be taught annually, on leadership or another topic to be decided in consultation with the Academic Dean. Faculty responsibilities also include serving on Ph.D. dissertation committees and supervising master’s capstone projects, as well as advising and mentoring students in the international security studies field.

The successful candidate should have a doctorate and publication record in international relations, political science, or history, as well as approximately five years of practical experience in a professional position or positions related to international security affairs.
