James McCormick of Chicago Boyz has posted a very in depth review of and remarkable commentary (http://chicagoboyz.net/archives/004871.html#more-4871)on Stoic Warriors: The Ancient Philosophy behind the Military Mind (http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/019531591X/104-0819033-8904730?SubscriptionId=0EMV44A9A5YT1RVDGZ82) by Dr. Nancy Sherman of Georgetown University.

I think this one will appeal to SWC members from a variety of backgrounds. It is lengthy, so it may be a good post to read with a cold one on hand.

I'd like to hear what people are learning from this masterwork. I learned that it would be a good thing to commit violence against journalists in order to enforce a certain favored political message. Also that our current crop of soldiers is too mentally weak for this age of warfare and that we must kill many, many more civilians in the countries we occupy than we are currently doing.
