Multi-drug if not all drugs resistent Tuberculosis.

currently XDR-TB is present in 37 countries. 50 % who contract it will die and AIDS endemic countries will suffer most.

Medicine sans Frontiers has been beating the drum but few are listening.

Does Military Medicine or WHO or CDC have a plan for where this is and will be endemic?

I wonder if this is the strain the guy out in Arizona has. The authorities have him quarentined in the county jail because he refuses to wear a surgical mask in public. The media said it was an untreatbale TB strain.

For those without SIPR or JWICS, AFMIC (http://www.afmic.detrick.army.mil/) is a great resource - if they permit you access.

Kind of goes along with COL Hammes' article in the current Military Review about the emergence of 5th generation warfare. Scary stuff.
