I just received my MCLMM version of Abu Buckwheat's The Terrorists of Iraq (ISBN 1-4196-6110-8) , and I've burned through about half of it.

With the exception of perhaps an Iraqi terrorism expert who has lived in Iraq the past four years, this is as close as it gets to a reasoned, non-politically charged assessment of how we got from point A to B. I don't know if the ending prescribes a course of action to reach point C, but I'm pretty confident that I'll enjoyed the ride.

The book's view that Former Regime Loyalist "neo-Ba'athists" dominate the insurgent population is definitely a minority view that might not get much tread in the MSM, but for that reason alone it contributes greatly to the body of writing that covers Iraq.

Kudos Abu for getting this out.

With the exception of perhaps an Iraqi terrorism expert who has lived in Iraq the past four years,

I just realized this probably makes no sense. I was referring to a native-born Iraqi who has lived in Iraq the past four years. Are there even any out there?
