Just a note:

Peacebuilding in Afghanistan:
Taking Stock and Looking Ahead
An International Conference
Ottawa, Canada
Chateau Laurier Hotel
December 10-11, 2007

What is the situation in Afghanistan, six years after the fall of the Taliban and the major international intervention? Is the international presence in Afghanistan making progress? How should "progress" be defined and evaluated? What would a "successful" outcome look like, and what are the requirements and prospects for achieving it?

On 10-11 December 2007, several of the world's leading experts on Afghanistan and analysts of peacebuilding will gather in Ottawa to explore these questions.

Limited seating is available for public observers. The event is free but pre-registration is required by December 1, 2007. To register, please email marie-eve.desrosiers@[noreply]uOttawa.ca

Please note that meals will not be provided to conference observers.
Please also note that the proceedings will take place in English.
