View Full Version : Anyone Having Access Problems From .mil Domain?

Beginning about an hour ago, I could no longer access this site from my office computer (I've moved down to our DSL terminal to post this). I'm wondering if the IT idiots have blocked it from the .mil domain. Wouldn't surprise me--they block the American Enterprise Institute and the Stanley Foundation, yet I have no trouble getting to various and sundry jihadist sites with how-to guides on killing Americans.

I'm back on now. Carlisle Barracks must be using their 300 baud modem today.

I had a recurring problem in Sept-Oct of my IP here at Leavenworth being blocked by SWJ's ISP - the Admins finally fixed it for me and I've been good the last month.
I was told I may not have been the only one.

My civilian anti-spam/virus program just HATES .mil domains, as their certificates are almost all expired.
How cool is that!?

We're getting some hiccups on our site today that may be something to do with our host, not your otherwise deficient local system administrators.
This thread (http://council.smallwarsjournal.com/showthread.php?t=3457) provides info and a solution path (a la CavGuy) on a specific subset of our many woes, which don't seem to be the problem of the day for anyone that has posted here now.

I now have tears in my eyes and my guffaw has elicited a few rather stern looks from some of my more stodgy fellow cuberats. :D
