USAID’s Microenterprise Development office, in collaboration with the US Army’s Combined Arms Center Battle Command Knowledge System (BCKS), is developing a pilot community of practice and resource portal –MIKAL (Micro Interagency Knowledge and Learning) – to connect U.S. military, U.S. government civilian experts and NGOs working in conflict affected countries.

Through interactive events, activities, and the development of resource materials, community members share and learn timely information for more effective development and economic stabilization results on the ground.

‘MIKAL is a forum through which civilian and military actors could continue open discussion, learning and potential cooperation between the two communities.

This month's discussion is: If I Only Knew Then: What PRT Alumni Wish They Had Known On Arrival. It will be from March 31 - April 2.

To view MIKAL and register for the discussion forum please see www.microlinks.org/mikal or email bstrong@irgltd.com for additional information.

I am curious, how does this prevent duplication of the purpose/mission of the US Government sponsored Consortium for Complex Operations website (https://www.ccoportal.org/) and mission? Are we fracturing ourselves yet again? And dear god, please not another Tomoye portal abortion! BCKS's use of that terrible product is the single biggest reason more people don't get involved on BCKS. </end rant>
