An excellent "long read" in The Guardian, on Sara Khan, an activist against extremism, who whilst the darling of officialdom and the media faces criticism from some on the "Left" and some Muslims.

Interesting insight into her religion having worn in a burqa as a teenager and decided to reject it.

Reading this one wonders whether her example deters others from being activists and so the UK government's rhetoric of a Muslim "silent majority" is fulfilled.

All too often politicians and the media berate ordinary Muslims for not confronting extremists / jihadists, so how about this video clip - viewed by 12.9 million in two days on YouTube:https://www.facebook.com/Channel4New...3464748691939/ (No FB account needed).

This follows a C4 documentary, The Jihadis Next Door, being shown in the UK, which followed a vocal group of jihadist sympathisers known for sharing their radical Islamist views around the streets of north London. Alas the documentary cannot be viewed in the USA and the YouTube version has problems.
