Definition of competitors in COIN.STABOPS?

We've just reviewed a draft 5-series publication and suggested to the authoring team that it might want to consider adding 'competitors' between 'belligerents and adversaries' and 'neutrals and friendlies' to spur consideration of competing agendas in a given operating environment i.e. those players that may have similar tactical or even operational level objectives to our own but whose larger endstate may be to situate themselves in more advantageous position as their ultimate endstate.

I have come across definitions of competitors before but, of course, never when I have actually been looking for them but now that am seeking such specifically, do you think I can find them?

Any pointers, comments, recommendations, etc even definitions...much appreciated...Simon
