No, God is not a Marine. However, he does have a special place in his heart for Marines.

And a her

A long "His"story have the Hiz's "Hers" ...
One can take it straight ....
Attachment 1261
from WWII;
or a bit twisted (but a remarkable resemblence carried over 125 years) ....
Attachment 1262
from the War of 1812 and the rigging of the USS Constitution, "Lucy Brewer".
Ken White, in one of his iterations, chaired "Lucy's" promotion board.
In his later (and present) iteration, Ken in the later 1940s perceived the first poster (and the Corps) as a solution for his teen-aged dating problems - the Corps obviously being filled with attractive women dedicated to the "Fighting Marines". His delusions soon ended. :D

...Air Cav:
"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war." Revelation 19:11
follows the Book as dictated by The Commandant.
And so, a "him" deemed Faithful and True; and a "her" deemed Faithful and True (that darned Lucy taking charge again):
Attachment 1263
and two more = 4 Horsemen (no better friends; no worse enemies).

...needs better hermeneutics! ;)
Ya beat me to it!:wry: I was about to suggest to Rifleman that he had forgotten the MAGTF!;)
Cheers

The Four Horsepersons of the Apocalypse - OMG, how politically incorrect I was in uttering "4 Horsemen" - have any MAGTF (macro down to micro) beat all to hell - pestilence, war, famine, and death, all in one package.
Still, Rifleman has a point re: hermeneutics and Hermeneutics. But, what is a bit of adaptation, improvisation and overcoming - all among friends.

"We stole the Eagle from the Air Force, the Anchor from the Navy, and the Rope from the Army.
Then on the 7th day, while God rested, we over-ran his perimeter and stole the Globe, and we've been running the show ever since.
We live like soldiers and talk like sailors and slap the Hell out of both of them.
Fighter by day, Lover by night, Drunkard by choice, Marine by GOD!" by Ye Ol'Salty Dog
No offense to my Army & Navy brothers but many a Baby Boot have been tucked in their racks on that one.
My silly children, of course I'm a Marine.
tell me true -
by this:
did the mutinous heavenly Marines populate the Globe with little Marines;Quote:
Genesis, Chapter 6
1 When men began to multiply on earth and daughters were born to them,
2 the sons of heaven saw how beautiful the daughters of man were, and so they took for their wives as many of them as they chose.
3 Then the LORD said: "My spirit shall not remain in man forever, since he is but flesh. His days shall comprise one hundred and twenty years."
4 At that time the Nephilim appeared on earth (as well as later), after the sons of heaven had intercourse with the daughters of man, who bore them sons. They were the heroes of old, the men of renown.
or is the foul rumor of the cross product of Marine and gorilla -
to you true ?
Reverently
Mike
I just visited God's profile page and found that she has not made any friends yet.....bit concerned about that.
way back then... :D
