"Small Wars Council. The Small Wars Journal is a private enterprise, owned and operated by former Marines Bill Nagle and Dave Dilegge, that posts extensive information and articles relating to the conduct of small wars. Located on the Internet at http://www.smallwarsjournal.com, the site hosts the Small Wars Council. It is an unclassified site that requires new users to register and agree to the rules of engagement. Users are welcome to engage in dialogue covering the general areas of history and education; doctrine and tactics, techniques, and procedures; equipment and capabilities; instruments of national power beyond the military; the whole news (a place to tell the story of combat beyond what you read and see in the media); and a general repository for requesting information on any subject—called RFIs (requests for information). Users may initiate new threads in the various areas or comment on existing threads. The site is in operation and will continue to grow and mature as more of our readers become engaged in lively discussions of the warrior trade."
