BUT WAIT...the US DoD SecDef roundly and publicly denounced KSA for their lack of support recently when he was in KSA......NOW they are moving and the US is running for cover..how is that possible and the SecDef is strangely silent these days....

Comment that came in as a response to this article is telling as it fly's completely by the issue.....namely had the US taken any form of action four years ago the Syrian's themselves would in a better position to handle their own problems ie Assad and then IS and then national reconciliation.

AGAIN this comment proves no one seems to understand who has exactly been fighting IS....certainly not Assad and even less Putin....regardless of their constant stream of statements that they are.....

There is a fine line between war and assisting a civil society in their time of need and then backing out.....and then providing assistance and advice when needed...allowing that civil society to make their own way forward regardless of how it turns out.....but to sit and allow ethnic cleansing, starvation and genocide to occur is telling for the current US leadership.....
