This comment comes from a retired but very twitter active and blogger former NSY CI officer with years of experience in CI operations in Europe against Russia and company.
As someone who's been under constant KremTroll attack for 4 years now, this is an easy test that's almost 100% accurate. A simple CI check.
Remember, "anti-Putinists" on Twitter not under constant, nasty attack from Kremlin Trolls are under control, ie fake opposition. Easy tell.

BTW...for me it is easy to define who is a US and who is not an US twitter account...sitting in Germany any non US account that is claiming it is US based shows up in German on the twitter info such as follow and more....
BTW...even Twitter caught up with him and blocked this account.
