Security is in the eye of the beholder, apparently.

"The Iraqi national defense force or police have total control of the Anbar province," Inhofe said, noting he visited with U.S. top commander Gen. David Petraeus and toured Fallujah, which Inhofe said is a totally secure area now. Fallujah once was a hotbed for anti-American insurgents.
Fallujah? Secure? Ohhhhh....Kaaaayyy. Time to take your medicine Senator. Just follow these nice men.

I am stupefied by the description of Fallujah as "a totally secure area now."
Don't be...consider the source. Inohofe is a fountain of such wisdom.

Default The problem is, people will listen, people will believe this twit!

I understand that a more than significant portion of the reasonable population will take this message with the proverbial grain of salt it deserves. The problem is that some of the less reputable will quote it out of context, will refer to people who've "been there" and "seen the good news," and generally take advantage of the fact that this lunacy has been published, publicized, and spread across the internet, to make arguments about progress, and the lying main stream press that won't talk about the positive developments in Iraq.

Clearly the man can't be impeached, but can he be bounced for being incredibly stupid?

"totally secure"? Well, without much context that's very funny.
Even cities at home aren't "totally secure".
