Well, I was hoping to get this for the eventual Small Wars Foundation library. I'm currently the high bidder but you obviously have set a fairly high reserve. We shall see, don't want to break the bank on this, though the book deserves a good home.

Thanks very much for checking out the auction. Yes, the reserve is set at 200
dollars. The reason is that when I last asked a rare book seller for advise about the potential value of the book he remarked 450-550. That was a couple years ago. But, as I said in the ad the book is pretty rare in complete condition.
I would love to hear about the library plans! Sue
The Small Wars Journal and Small Wars Council are operated by the Small Wars Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered in Virginia. Part of the long range plan is for SWF to have a physical location (currently virtual except for events we host at rented or military venues) in the DC metro area. That facility would include offices, conference rooms and a library. As an aside I met your reserve on the SWM at ebay.
I'll definitely tell my dad about the library plans. He would probably be interested in this site as well. Thanks for the info. I'll have to spend a little more time in here reading up on your groups.
The Small Wars Journal and Small Wars Foundation are now the proud owners of an original Small Wars Manual.
Nice! Congrats!
