The mission set this time looks much different than the one I faced in Iraq. Fortunately I am blessed with a great commander and superb staff to work with.
Will see what our environment allows us to do - I hope to be able to "reach back" and keep you all informed within the bounds of OPSEC ...
Seek to understand the populace while at the same time putting continuous pressure on the enemy. Start breaking in those boots now, you'll need to walk in this war to do it right. Looking forward to hearing from you when you can come up on comms, and also looking forward to sending you a welcome home note in a few months.
