There were no Army buzzwords or PowerPoint words like "integrating," "optimizing," "leveraging," or acronyms people have to look up. Strunk and White's book The Elements of Style should be the way military professionals speak if we want to get everyone on the same sheet of music. Being clear is an absolute imperative when operations are being planned and briefed, so even the lowest private understands. It's like that line from an old song:
