    How can their disinterest be explained?


    A week ago I sent email messages to editors of nearly ten Moscow major newspapers. I reminded them that the 70th anniversary of the beginning of The Great Patriotic War (June 22, 1941) is approaching. Germany attacked Russia on that day. Expecting commemorations, I sent them a file containing my memoir; you can read it at:

    Permission to translate it and publish (entirely or abbreviated) was given. But not a single editor responded so far. How can this be explained?
