A number of folks have been talking about the proposal for a new in-country schoolhouse for incoming commanders, outlined in Eric Scmitt's 2 Nov article in the New York Times U.S. to Intensify Its Training In Iraq to Battle Insurgents (listed in the 2 Nov SWJ Daily News Links).

The net from most seems to be - nice idea, lousy plan. E.g. why in-country? How to resource the instructors that might make it worth it?

Any thoughts?
