Sarah Vowell did an excellent, if a bit stomach-churning, segment [LINK] on the Daily Show last night which managed to inject a bit of cultural critique (poking a little fun at both the Pilgrims and Americans’ general dearth of historical knowledge) into a short lecture about the conditions faced by Revolutionary War POWs on prison ships in the waters near British-occupied New York.
