Default Foreign Affairs Editor Compares Iraq/Vietnam

There was an interesting article in Slate today by Gideon Rose, managing editor of Foreign Affairs magazine, drawing comparisons between the wars in Iraq and Vietnam.

I know it's been discussed on this site before how often the comparisons in the press between the two conflicts are superficial and flawed, but I thought this one was better thought out than most and came from a more reputable source than Joe Average Beat Reporter. Anyone interested in discussing?

Goesh, please don't tell me you think our guys over there are listening to Madonna or the Sex Pistols. Maybe the O-6s and above are old enough for that crap. More like Young Jeezy, Jim Jones, and whatever country singers the southern white boys are listening to nowadays.
