State Duma wants to reinstate Putin’s right to send troops to Ukraine: U.S. wants to prevent Russia from "developing into a new superpower"
    24.03.2015 11:50

It is reported by Censor.NET citing Liga.

"We believe that our parliament should not ignore this statement (by the U.S. Congress - ed.). If the United States actually commences supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine, we should not hesitate to begin supporting the "militia", including by [the supply of] arms and reinstating the president's right to send troops into the territory of Ukraine," Kremlin's RIA Novosti news agency cites the lawmaker.

According to the representative of the Putin's regime, the Russian Federation cannot "allow turning Ukraine into an international militant, honed against Russia," calling the decisions of the U.S. congressmen on arming Ukraine 'provocative'.

"The United States is trying to arm Ukraine at all costs ... to prevent Russia from developing into a new superpower," Emelyanov said.

In February, Mikhail Emelyanov called to place "Ukrainian government in exile" in the Donbas, repeating the 'wishes' of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, who also argued for such a scenario.

On March 1, 2014 the Russian Federation Council considered the appeal of Vladimir Putin on the use of Russian troops in the territory of Ukraine, which was supported by the senators. On June 25, the decree was revoked.

Of course, a "group of Russian journalists" and OSCE observers just "happened" to be with Lentsov at exact time of the "attack"!

Russia’s representative in the OSCE Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the ceasefire regime in east Ukraine Col. Gen. Alexander Lentsov came under fire among others

MOSCOW, March 24. /TASS/. A group of observers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and Russian journalists have come under fire near the village of Shirokino in eastern Ukraine, the defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk republic reported Tuesday.

"When the OSCE joint monitoring mission was moving in the inhabited locality of Shirokino to control the regime of ceasefire, the convoy came under fire from the Ukrainian armed forces," the Donetsk news agency quoted an army spokesman as saying.

"A group of Russian journalists also came under fire," the agency said.

DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko said Tuesday that Russia’s representative in the OSCE Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the ceasefire regime in east Ukraine Col. Gen. Alexander Lentsov came under fire near Shirokino.

"He has come under fire for a second time. This shows once again that Ukraine opens fire intentionally. Each instance of firing is an attempt to make us shoot and then say the Minsk agreements were violated," Zakharchenko said.

Russian television channel REN TV said Tuesday its journalists, who also came under fire from the Ukrainian armed forces, barricaded themselves on the outskirts of Shirokino.

A REN TV correspondent, Dmitry Vakhnitsky, got in touch with the editorial office. He said the house where journalists hid is constantly under fire from the Ukrainian armed forces.

Vakhnitsky said by phone that a REN TV driver was wounded and taken out of the locality.

"We came here yesterday to film violations of the ceasefire. OSCE representatives arrived today. There was silence for two hours. We wanted to leave, but a bullet hit our car’s tire and the car crashed into a tree. The driver was taken away as wounded," he said.

Russian violates the INF with a long range nuclear capable cruise missile and bases nuclear capable Ikskander missiles in the Crimea and Kaliningrad which could in fact threaten Berlin, flies nuclear armed bombers near and or over the UK and threatens to target the Danish Navy with nuclear missiles , and per doctrine can use a nuclear strike on a major city or NATO target to "deescalate" and then this today:

Russia is doing everything possible to distract from their own INF violations and to distract from their Danish ambassadors comments concerning the use of nuclear missiles against the Danish Navy.

Russia: US Must remove Its Nuclear Weapons From Europe

    Tuesday, 24 Mar 2015 09:07 AM

Russia called for a ban on American nuclear weapons in parts of Europe, saying the U.S. is breaking an international agreement by holding joint nuclear training missions with NATO allies that don’t possess such weapons.

Using ships and airfields as well as training crews from non-nuclear states from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in such exercises is “in direct contradiction to the letter and spirit” of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, or NPT, ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said in a statement on its website.

“There can be only one solution,” Lukashevich said. Russia is calling for “the return of all nonstrategic nuclear weapons” to U.S. territory as well as “a ban on stationing them abroad, elimination of infrastructure for their rapid deployment, and denial of training for the preparation and use of nuclear weapons” by the militaries of non-nuclear states.

The dispute flared as relations between Russia and the U.S. and NATO are at their worst since the Cold War over the conflict in Ukraine.

Deployment of U.S. nuclear weapons on the territories of NATO allies “is consistent with the NPT” and the treaty doesn’t prohibit such basing and planning arrangements, which were in place before it came into force in 1970, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters on March 19.

kaur--actually a very interesting find of a document and it leads me to ask why is the CIA so bad at their analysis work now and not in 1983?--maybe technology is not always the way forward in the intel world--I worked with CIA analysts for a number of years here in Berlin and was impressed by their sheer individual knowledge simply because without the computer they were literally forced to read everything and simply confirm or deny-thus they built up an individual wealth of knowledge and were "subject matter experts" long before the term became popular during Iraq by defense contractors.

That aside the document brings up an interesting question--namely is the current Russian disinformation/info warfare so different now than it was in 1983 or even in 1973--and while the Russian military has added a large number of new and modern weapons systems and modernized their army to support their hybrid warfare and they have successfully merged their conventional forces around SOF in a true joint fashion and yes they have a very effective "whole of government approach" we cannot match HAS their informational warfare or what their call "informational conflict" really changed much from 1983 and is the success and or failure of the Russian non linear warfare DEPENDENT on a successful and continuous "informational conflict".

IMHO once you stymie their "informational conflict" the military side can be countered militarily BUT if you do not successfully push back 24 x 7 365 in real time their massive informational warfare you are doomed to failure--therein lies the cornerstone of their "hybrid warfare"---"weaponization of information"--their cyber capabilities has not played that much of a role in current events in the Ukraine.

In the early 80s the KGB was using local German peace groups and German leftists and students to carry the anti Pershing 2 and cruise missile NATO stationing debates using leaflets, pamphlets, and demos and then the TV reporting of those events--all time consuming/slow and if one did not watch TV then the inforwar messaging was lost---now at the speed of the internet, a 24 hour news cycle with hundreds of internet paid and unpaid Russian trolls and massive use of social media everything is in real time--AND now you can truly influence and persuade entire civil societies.

BUT this time around it is again with leftist groups and something "new" is tying themselves into the European wide neo Nazi and ultra nationalist groups attempting to influence national decisions by influencing the entire civil society of the target nation.

Therein lies the power of the new Russian non linear warfare---the power to influence an entire civil society and it's leaders.

That is why they envision in their eight phases not having to use pure military force until phase seven or potentially not at all if possible.

If true then this is extremely interesting as eight of his closest political allies inside the Ukraine have “died of unexplained reasons or it was declared suicide” and his youngest son died last week from falling through an ice covered lake—all utterly unusual incidents.

Coincidence? Putin awards airborne units - including one from Buryatia - honors for bravery http://tass.ru/armiya-i-opk/1854248

Brzezinski: Putin’s next targets may be Baltic States, Moldova and Poland http://www.unian.info/world/1059867-...nd-poland.html

Wow. The Russian planes weren't just flying over Baltic w transponders off, they were flying at supersonic speed.

This is a common problem for western mainstream media—either they pickup the Russia fakes and simply pass them or simply ignore important stories.
Better Late Than Never: UK's Guardian picks up burned Russian tank soldier in Ukraine story after three weeks. http://gu.com/p/46d3m/stw

Hard to argue Mariupol isn't next.
Fighting continues around #Mariupol in east #Ukraine, leaving truce in tattershttp://www.unian.info/war/1059808-fi...ers-video.html

The incident seems to be "deeper" on the lying side--

Appears that the OSCE SMM traveled in their own convoy independent of that of the Russian JCCC General who travelled with "invited Russian jounralists" and "two OSCE members"--now the strange bit

    1. OSCE was not aware of the "invited Russian journalists"

    2. the two individuals in OSCE jackets WERE not members of OSCE so Russia SF in disguise?

When the real OSCE listened to the recorded video of the shooting incident it was virtually impossible to say if in fact it was a single shot as it was so quiet --the "Russian journalists" claimed it was a possible sniper but the closest Ukrainian position was 1.8 kms away.
