Donetsk
At night militants several times opened fire at Ukrainian Armed Forces strong points in the area of Avdiivka, Pesky and Opytne using heavy artillery.
08-50 Motel Circle, 2 white jeeps of the OSCE mission were noticed.
09-29 a column of heavy military equipment of mercenaries moved along the Artema Street.
10-17 Kalininskyi district, a move of column consisting of 14 covered URAL trucks was registered from the side of Makiivka in Western direction. Then, at 11-25 2 infantry combat vehicles moved towards Makiivka.
11-20 near the mine #20 mercenaries organized trainings with the use of small arms, they were practicing shooting Kalashnikov hand-held machine guns and AKs.
From 12-00 till 14-00 in the area of Donetsk airport and Peski mine and shells explosions could be heard.
15-51 Kalininskyi district, militants pulled a BMP IFV using power tag from the side of Makiivka to Western direction.
16-10 two OSCE vehicles moved at the direction of Donetsk airport along the Kyivskyi Avenue.
We should also mention that pairs of Road Police cars appeared on Donetsk roads. They are located in the same places as they used to be located before the occupation.
For the whole day civilians could see an intensive move of covered trucks, transporting a lot of militants’ personnel in different directions.
17-24 tank fire from Yasinovata was registered.
17-45 powerful salvo fire from the heavy artillery made from the side of Yakovlivka.
18-11 Kyivskyi disctrict, from time to time mortar and heavy artillery salvos could be heard.
19-45 1 BTR with personnel on its armor moved under Russian flag from the city along the Ilyich Avenue.
Avdiivka
17-07 local residents heard very heavy explosions in Opytne
17-45 incoming explosions of multiple rocket launcher system could be heard.
00-16 rather powerful explosions from Opytne direction were registered.
Makiivka
6-30 About 20 escorted trucks moved towards Donetsk through Makiivka. Some of them had their registration plates covered, some registration plates showed number of 161 region (Russia).
19-48 Chervonohvardiyskyi district, 5 petrol tank vehicles and two BTRs were noticed near the garage of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Overall, in this are a high concentration of military equipment is registered.
Horlivka
Starting from 20-00 and active move of military equipment columns including self-propelled artillery mounts (SPG), tanks, and BTR. Columns were moving in different directions. With a difference of 1 hour two columns moved towards the town of Dzerzhynsk, a third one in the direction of the town of Mayorsk.
Until 22-00 with different intervals sound of low intensive fight could be heard on the outskirts of the town from the North, North-East and North-West directions.
At about 22-00 a mass shelling from the town of Horlivka at the direction of the town of Dzerzhynsk and the town of Mayorsk started. Shelling was conducted with the use of howitzers, self-propelled artillery guns (SPG) and heavy artillery. Local residents also heard single firing of rockets from multiple rocket launchers.
22-00 outgoing shots from the area of autodrome, 3-4 SPGs were shooting.
22-25 mercenaries’ howitzers were shooting from the area of scrap metal company, 5th pond and full gallop near Chimik;
Starting from 22-46 till 23-05 sound of reactive shells firing heard from the central municipal district. Interval is about 1-3 minutes with artillery shelling getting more and more intensive on the background. In total there were 5-6 firings.
23-06 militants’ artillery in the area of full gallop of the 5th quarter and mechanical rubber goods enterprise joined the shelling;
23-09 The intesity of a fire increased significantly, in the area of the town of Mayorsk powerful incoming explosions could be heard together with sounds of small arms shooting.
23-34 artillery located on the territory of wholesale depots on Minina and Pazharskoho Streets joined the shelling.
23-45 shots heard from the Holmivskyi village.
23-48 Tank cannon shots heard from the Stroitel district.
23-56 artillery saliva started from the 5th district.
23-57 local residents also notice that mercenaries shoot from one town district (wholesale depots) at another district (Komsomolets). Probably this is done in order to cause panic among local residents.
Local residents say that conflagrations broke out in the town. In particular, a fire broke out in the area of filtration plant on the crossroad of Ostapenko Street. and Lenina Avenue. Problems with water supply in different town districts started nearly immediately.
Dzerzhynsk
Local residents say that in the evening after 20-00 they heard powerful explosions from militants’ shelling with artillery mounts and mortars. As a result of this shelling there are victims among civilians.
Sector “A”
We remind that militants were announcing military trainings on the whole occupied territory of Luhansk region, which had to be held on April 28th .
Village of Obozne (48.733058, 39.308767). Militants’ military equipment is located in nearly each yard. Locals say there have never been so many equipment items before.
Stakhanov – a unit with signs of Russian engineer troops and with a lot of engineer equipment has arrived. It is likely that Russian high rank officers arrived together with engineers.
Many stores accept payment only in Russian rubles what also indirectly confirms that a lot of Russian servicemen have arrived to the town.
Luhansk – a “training alert” has been announced in Luhansk in the morning. Starting from night, large columns of military equipment were moving in the city.
From 13-00 till 13-40 there were several explosions and machine gun fire on the shooting range heard in the city. In Eastern districts very powerful explosions could be heard.
19-55 Luhansk. A column of military equipment including tanks moved through Bakhmutka in the direction of the village Zheltoe.
Antratsyt
Disarmed Cossacks of “Cossack national guard”, who are based in the regional state administration building try to act in the LNR as civic structure – they are looking for a lawyer in order to legalize their business – captured stores, makeshift coalmines etc.
Rovenki
18-00 5 militants’ URAL trucks passed, one of URALs was pulling a cannon. Locals notice such movement of equipment for the 3rd day in a raw at one and the same time, what brings them to the conclusion that trucks and equipment move through the Russian-Ukrainian border during the exact planned time.
Shchastya
A work of subversive-reconnaissance groups has extremely intensified on the northern direction of Luhansk region. Last night there was a fight with a large reconnaissance group of an enemy near the town of Shchastya. A group had to retreat to starting positions.
From 17-36 till 17-41 militants attacked the thermal station with grenade launchers, they also attacked all checkpoints of the town of Shchastya with 120 mm mortars. There are wounded and dead.
Alchevsk
Scrap iron from Alchevsk metallurgical complex is being taken away to Russia via rail way. Pensions in Alchevsk are given in rubles.
Lutuhyne
Over the last 4 days at least 3 mercenaries killed in Lutuhyne area, one was wounded. Mosty these were results of domestic conflicts with Russians.
Krasnyi Luch
Nearly 150 items of armored equipment are concentrated along the road Luhansk-Krasnyi Luch. Small pension payments in rubles renewed again.
Local residents also say that trainings were renewed, heavy artillery fire could be heard. During the training mercenaries were shooting with BM-21 “Grad” multiple rocket launchers.
Extremely long queues appear on the border crossings, captured by Russian occupants. This is cause by columns of Russian equipment which comes all the time.
Izvarine border crossing
A large column of armored equipment has passed from Russia to Luhansk region over the last 24 hours. The column included 15 tanks, equipment also arrives via rail way.
Dolzhanskyi border crossing
Large columns of trucks take Donbass coal out to Russia.
Sector “B” and “M”
In the morning the village of Hranitne has been shelled for 2 hours, shells hit the Chervonych Partyzan Street right in the middle. Shelling was conducted from the village of Telmanove.
Shyrokyne – night was fairly calm, at about 7-00 mercenaries fired from AGS.
Chermalyk – at about 18-30 shelling of the village Chermalyk of Volnovakha area started. Local doctors inform about one person killed.
Occupied Crimea
Local residents inform that at about 14-30 a column of Russian armored equipment went through Armiansk. It included 14 BTR-80, command vehicle on the basis of BTR-80, about 8 URAL trucks with barrels and one with maintenance equipment, 8 KAMAZ trucks, 2 fuel tankers on the basis of KAMAZ trucks. BTRs had their spaced armor off, soldiers were in standard Russian field uniform.
Conclusion: Militants together with Russian servicemen continue provocative shelling of Ukrainian forces positions. They also concentrate military equipment and ammunition, terrorize local residents on the occupied territories.
