Buy the GMAP Garmin Iraq Map and a garmin brand GPS. Make sure the model holds at least 12 MB of memory and 1,000 waypoints. This combination saved my butt numerous times.
Garmin rinos are OK; you need to turn the radio off. I would not advise using GMRS/FRS radios unless under extreme curcumstances.
