There is a PFLP and the PFLP-GC. Both used to enjoy support of Assadist regime, but the latter remains in Syria and began receiving IRGC's support. It has established a brigade (originally claimed to have 4,000 combatants, 'primarily recruited form the West Bank'), that's fighting for NDF/IRGC-QF.
When one has a good supply they are used more often, so also for taking 'risky' shoots.Also from the TOW long shot videos--it appears that the insurgents are risking more extreme distance shots by reaching the maximum shooting range and then on the final aim allowing it to break the guide wires and then the missile runs straight and true getting another 3-500m or so out of it before impacting.
That said, most of TOWs fired the last few days were actually fired from rather short ranges: often from less than 1,000m.
Anyway, photo/video count for this week (i.e. since 17 October) resulted in conclusion that 21 AFVs operated by NDF/IRGC/Hezbollah were knocked out. These are including 4 BMPs destroyed and 1 captured by insurgents, and 14 MBTs destroyed and 2 captured by insurgents.
CB--thanks--the PFLP-GC ---hate to ask the religious question are they mainly Sunni or Shia since a majority of the units fighting for Assad appear to be Shia and who is paying the fighters??
BTW--any idea as to what the IDF was up to late yesterday on the Golan-- a lot of chatter but still silence from the IDF?
