Azor---a thank you for your efforts....

Then you now fully understand info warfare--they do work in shifts especially the Russian info war company based in St. Petersburg. What is more scary though are the comments often posted from US influencers....either the paid for lobbyists and or organizations ie the Ron Paul Peace org that utters virtually the party line as dictated by Moscow and or a number of US Congressmen.

What is interesting is to watch say the SU24 shot down----silence initially from the botniks then once they were fed the leading thoughts by say Sputnik, TASS or comments from the Russian FM--especially his--- it was as if they had received their marching orders and they came out in full force.

Actually this is worth in my eyes a doctorial thesis on the use of information warfare to shape and influence a specific civil society in order to avoid a war but achieve the goals of those behind that info warfare.

BTW--it extends also to their own standard reporting especially on the recovered navigator---there are now multiple reports out there on his "rescue" so which one is accurate......my take..

Also what interesting on the TOW hit of the Mi8 SAR copter--it had been hit by ground fire and had to land--no realizing they had landed in the middle of an area held by FSA thus the TOW hit---they claimed only one was KIA when the copter was hit--hard to believe the crew was not in the copter when it was hit.

The key is that they can't do much more than simply cast doubt on the "official" or "Western" narrative. They make contradictory arguments against the narrative in order to achieve some sort of "reasonable doubt", but are unable to provide an equally credible theory.

With respect to the Su-24 shootdown, they have put forth:

1. The Su-24 was not flying in either Turkish airspace or their 5-mile ADIZ ("buffer zone") along the Syrian border

2. The Su-24 did fly in the ADIZ, however, it did not cross the border

3. The Su-24 DID cross the border, but it was brief and the Turks overreacted

4. Regardless of Turkey's post-2012 stated policy with respect to Syrian-Turkish airspace, Turkey has violated disputed airspace with Greece in the past, so that makes the Su-24's crossing OK

With respect to MH-17, it is even more interesting:

1. MH17 was shot down by a UkAF Su-25 with cannons (one can see from the cockpit)

2. MH17 was shot down by a UkAF Su-25 with anti-air missiles (again, the cockpit)

3. MH17 was shot down by a Ukrainian Buk system (the DSB report got the arrival/departure locations wrong, and the plane was on the "wrong" side for it to be a Russian Buk)

4. The separatists had plenty of former Ukrainian Buks, so it has nothing to do with Russia

5. All of the above at the same time...

I think that Russia's information warfare stems from the MSM portrayal of the South Ossetia War. Russia was vilified immediately and the Georgians were treated as victims, even though their president launched artillery strikes on Russian peacekeeper and civilian targets (causing fatalities), used cluster bombs in urban areas, and expected NATO to protect them from any blowback. Later, it was quietly admitted months later that while the Ossetian and Abkhaz militias ran amok, that while the RuAF had difficulty avoiding collateral damage and even finding military targets, that Georgia's offensive was in the wrong. Putin was determined never to be on the wrong side of the narrative again...
