A leader of the Kurdish peshmerga in Kurdistan region, Hussein Yazdan has stated that “a force of a thousand Lebanese Hezbollah, have joined in the past few days, the Popular Crowd in Taza, south of Kirkuk.” Yazdan added “Hezbollah gunmen who arrived in the area in question are threatening the city of Kirkuk and the Kurdistan region of Iraq in general.”

He continued that “their presence in that region is part of Iran’s plan to take control of Kirkuk and Mosul, and then access to the Syrian border by land to complete the Shiite crescent, which Tehran planned a long time ago.” The Hezbollah militants are said to be in ordinary Popular Crowd military attire as not to stand out.

“Hezbollah forces that entered the province of Kirkuk, constitute a major and serious danger to this province, they also pose a major risk to the Kurdistan region, especially that its presence in Kirkuk is part of Iran’s plan for military control of Kirkuk and Mosul and the opening of a land route for Iran to transfer weapons and soldiers to Syria and Lebanon, and thus complete the Shiite Crescent,” Mr. Yazdan claimed.

“Hezbollah forces stationed south of Kirkuk overseen by the leadership of a senior officer in the Iranian Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards, a Agaa Akabbala, coupled with a panel of three other officers of the Qods Force with Hezbollah forces.”

I have been making this statement here at SWJ since 2008.....the current Iran is being driven by the Khomeini concept of "revolutionary Islam" and centers on the concept of a "Green Crescent"......running from AFG over Iran through Iraq, Syria and ending on Lebanon...and if one overlays this "Green Crescent" over the historical "Silk Road" they are a near perfect match.....

Many here derided that concept.....BUT hindsight is sometimes more telling that foresight if we can connect the dots....

The incoming new Commander of EUCOM sees Iran as a clear and present danger for the entire ME and YET the Obama WH literally wants Iran to be the regional hegemon.....AND it appears that the Obama WH "forgot" Hezbollah and the Iraqi Shia militias supported by IRGC have "a lot of US blood on their hands"...........

SOMETHING that is not being talked about in the western MSM or by Obama...ethnic cleansing that is underway in Syria.....

Four years later and Russian two wars...in eastern Ukraine and Syria and yet not a single concrete Obama action.....on anything....

So kicking out Assad would be a "mistake" but he is inherently tied to IS thus a legitmate target to be kicked out.....

Good point.....there are now four different commenters two actually have been accurate in the past saying the plane crashed..only one stating anything about the crew.

There seems to have been a reduction in flight activity after the so called crash....so something happened.

Recent crashes in Russia on takeoffs have been due to poor fuel quality and or poor maintenance and they have been running flat out for months now.

And for those who might want to argue that this is 'impossible', for example, 'because that would mean they are longer in Syria than six months' (usual time-frame between major overhauls at the average rate of sorties flown), that's 'null and void' too: the last batch of Su-34s arrived in Syria only in early December. Means: they are 'in chop' since 5 months 'only' (on the other hand: exactly this might have been at least an indirect reason for this crash, if it really happened).
