Video footage depicts this actually did happen and it was not by accident....and he did not say excuse me either.....

Wow. Trump shoves Montenegro's leader to get to the front of the group at NATO Summit.

Gets in the front for his PR photo op but blasts NATO at the same time....and yet one wonders why the EU Tusk stated we are not 100% on the same sheet of music when it comes to Russia....

Trump will now use this to deflect from the FBI Russian investigation....which is what many of his supporters in the House have been complaining about these last weeks....

Trump still does not fully understand how NATO works and that was evident in that single comment in his speech.....

This speech of Trump is not going over well at all with NATO....and defeats anything that he now wants to do in the future with NATO...

You can tell it was written by his alt right speech writer Moller...tone is aggressive.....and if you are just told Article Five of NATO was only once used and that was in defense of the US in 9/11 then you do not blast NATO in front of their new Hdqs and throw in a off remark he did not want to know how much it cost...

EVEN others saw this very strong US slight of NATO.....

BLUF...Trump truly and falsely believes NATO owes vast amounts of money to the US....this does in fact show a political leader who is totally and completely uniformed....

Failing to mention collective security (Art V) in his big speech, Trump sends a message which Putin will not miss.
Allies wanted Trump to say one thing at NATO: that Art 5 is rock solid. Putin wanted Trump to skip that line. Putin won this round.

For those who think #Trump's refusal to explicitly endorse #NATO Art. 5 is insignificant -

First #Trump had fierce handshake with #Macron. Then he shoved Prime Minister of #Montenegro #Markovic. Violence escalating at #NATO summit

Admin official had told NYT yest. that Trump would endorse Article 5. Either that was never the case or something changed late in the game

Trump refuses to commit to defense of NATO allies a day after aides said he would.
The question of the day is what on earth happened? Did Trump personally veto it? Or his advisors? Or was it never true?

Putin will be thrilled at Trump's refusal to endorse Article 5. Unimaginable under any other president.

Issue seems to be POTUS himself as US military, intel community and GOP & Dem leadership all see Russia as clear adversary

AND there is absolutely no Russian connections....really????

Trump should not forget that six European security services have provided information on Trump Russian connections....

Just got this msg from a pal who's a snr Europe scty official: "After [Trump NATO speech] it's obvious he's Putin's boy. Now we will act."

From this same individual....European have lost lives in NATO fighting along side US after 9/11 in AFG, Iraq and Syria....

Dutch rep...who does he think he is..we lost 60 troops and several hundred wounded....and then Trump bashed NATO in front of the new 9/11 memorial, which is the only time Article V has ever been invoked and it was in the defense of the US.....

Canada was the first to respond. Given the treatment by Trump, it may not be soo fast next time. Goodwill and respect matter.

Merkel at NATO in clear rebuke of Trump: "it is not isolation and the building of walls that makes us successful but shared values"

    @RichardHaass
public lecturing of NATO allies unseemly & counterproductive; hard not to see contrast between this & overly-solicitous treatment of Saudis

In 1987, after USSR visit, Trump paid $94K for ads in major papers lambasting our no-good allies. A big change from his previous RW view.

By getting Americans to regard NATO as some kind of Mar-A-Lago with membership fees and annual dues, Trump has done Putin's work handily.

Tax Doc: Ivanka Trump had 2 tax liens placed on her jewelry company for $320,310.53-for not paying taxes-in 2015.

What is unusual in this...normally one would have to explain themselves in detail as this must be indicated on a SF86 in order to get a security clearance to work in the WH....evidently was not entered on the SF 86...

Estonia (NATO) and Georgia (non-NATO) are two countries that had more soldiers in Afghanistan, per capita, than the US.

Seems Trump advisors failed to tell him this small fact....

Trump tells EU leaders: "The Germans are bad, very bad", will "stop" German car sales to US
    http://m.spiegel.de/politik/ausland/a-1149282.html#

"The Germans are bad, very bad. Look at the millions of cars they sell in the USA. Terrible. We will stop that."
Is Trump setting the stage for an open trade war with the EU and Germany...DOES he in fact understand that 120,000 well paid US jobs depend on Germany and does he understand that they could in fact move to Mexico costing Trump 120,000 well paying jobs...

Outside of the 120,000 jobs there are thousands of others in the supply chain depending on the first 120,000...

From a well known US journalist based in Ukraine and who has been writing for three years about Russian aggression in Ukraine and the Baltics....

At NATO HQ Trump talked about immigration, which has nothing to do with NATO, terrorism which NATO is firmly committed to combating

NATO shares intel with US, participates in ops against ISIS & other threats, many members actively fighting terror cells

AND YET it's the US which leaks intel to the press, Wikileaks, or to the damned KREMLIN, not the NATO members

Members directly threatened by Kremlin aggression. Estonian agent kidnapped from Estonian soil in 2014. This is the real threat to NATO

Trump spreads disinformation, Kremlin talking points, division, domestic politics, instead of addressing & inspiring/encouraging members

A REAL leader would commit to NATO, announce plan to help members, demand more commitment from members, be specific, be visionary

If I were a NATO member I would consider creating a new parallel alliance: intel sharing & mutual defense, without the US

If the American people are so untrustworthy they elected Trump, they could elect someone even worse, more isolationist, more anti-NATO

US credibility is in tatters. We aren't the leaders of the free world. If there's still a "free world" it should lead itself. Sad/true

    Mark Hertling‏
    @MarkHertling

A third of my 38 yrs in the Army was served in & around NATO, a valuable, adaptive alliance. What happened today was embarrassing, saddening

General Hertling commanded US troops in Europe and Iraq

He had been the Commander USAREUR in 2012
