Simplified, there are three designated terror groups on ascendancy in Syria: AQ/HTS among rebels, YPG/PKK in Rojava, Hezb/IRGC in regime.

Not only are all three trajectories above real and ongoing, but mutually reinforcing. Advances by one side empower radicals across line.

AQ affiliate in Syria continues to consolidate armed opposition. One major successful offensive and we may have another Emirate.

Then consider prospect of larger-scale Turkish action vs YPG/PKK: Could trigger Kurdish war, disrupt ISIS campaign, threaten US soldiers.

Most obvious: Israeli intervention vs rapidly expanding IRGC network in Syria has potential to set Levant on fire, draw Lebanon into war.

According to the regime, it struck a rebel CW "factory" that was producing Sarin, even though Sarin is difficult to produce, has never been used by anti-regime forces and would most likely have been neutralized by the explosion. I have also read of people alleging that a "CIA aircraft" dropped the CW.

Firstly, wouldn't the US, Russia (e.g. The lengen-wait-for-it-dary S-400 and naval S-300), Turkey and Israel all have a complete view of the battlespace, enabling any one to provide evidence on whose aircraft was present?

Secondly, is this a test of Trump's resolve or a way to keep Russia engaged in Syria? Or both?

The US military watched a Syrian fixed wing aircraft drop the bombs on Idlib that hit a hospital with nerve agent, @ckubeNBC is reporting.
