AdamG,
This was speech by Michael Fallon, the UK's Defence Secretary, was odd. First it was given @ St Andrews University, Scotland and appears to have been a response to a critical parliamentary report - which the MoD "spin doctors" ensured got ample coverage, diverting attention.
So what did the parliamentary report say? One passage in the BBC's report on the speech:Link:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-38850907Meanwhile MPs have warned that a skills shortage and "chaotic" handling of personal data breaches are undermining confidence in the UK government's ability to protect its own infrastructure and economy from cyber attacks.
From a longer BBC report, which starts with:Link:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-38845582A skills shortage and "chaotic" handling of personal data breaches are undermining confidence in the government's ability to protect the UK from cyber attacks, MPs have warned.
