Cooper University Health Care has entered into an agreement with the U.S. Army to provide advanced surgical trauma training to the Army’s elite Forward Resuscitation Surgical Team.
The Camden-based health system said its trauma center in the first in the nation to begin providing this training.
The program is the result of a 2017 Congressional mandate to advance the Military Health System's trauma readiness for deployment to combat zones by forming partnerships with high-volume civilian trauma centers to gain critical teamwork and technical trauma skills.
