Default Trump vs ISIS: phantom victory

Although this article looks at ISIS in Iraq primarily it does touch upon Syria. The author is Professor Paul Rogers, a British academic. He ends with:
any notion that ISIS has been vanquished is fanciful.

Trump caused his latest controversy in Iraq by saying that US forces would be staying in the country to monitor Iran. US already doing that. Link to article here.

Iraq security report 3rd week of March. This entire month has seen some of the lowest attack and casualty figures since 2003. IS had summer offensive and then has dropped off like usual during the winter.
