Not sure if this is the right place but I'm looking to learn Mandarin Chinese on line or via DVD/CDROM and am looking for suggestions for the best method or sites. Thanks in advance!

RosettaStone has a great reputation for developing conversational skills. The software is not cheap, but it is effective. My kids use it for Korean. If you're active Army you can access it free via ako. A friend of mine used it to prep his language skills before his last deployment to Afghanistan

Thanks! I pre-ordered the latest version of it that should be coming out soon. Some of the earlier editions got some iffy reviews on amazon.com but I am assuming they worked out the kinks with this one.
