    Ted, Thanks ! Glad you posted this as I’ve been in a 12-year battle with the Finns and Swedes over Santa’s nationality. Every year and with every email and message, they sign off with ‘regards from the land of Father Christmas’ or ‘regards from Lapimaa (Lapland), home of Santa’.

    Dammit already, Santa’s an Amurikan and lives on the North Pole in Alaska…you boneheads !

    No self-righteous Canadian fighter pilot is going to fly from Finland to Canada, when Santa lives in Alaska

    Just ask 'em the last time they made a Santa Claus movie. They can't cause Santa speaks English when he consents to appearing in a movie.

    Santa might want a lap dance in Lapland but he don't live there...

    Everybody knows he is from "Slapland" which is a little north of me.

    I always get it mixed up--elves are from Slapout, fairies are from Prattville, right?
