I've quickly read the summary and noted its optimism. From across the Atlantic I fear the US public do not share his patience, let alone the prospective Democratic Party candidates for the presidency. I challenge whether any analyst, let alone politician, would publically announce similar to "we have to stay for ten years and pay that price". OK, perhaps someone has and my knowledge of US politics is really poor.
