    Talking Knowledgable Donkey

Bet the donkey knows it isn't supposed to be carrying the handler's pack in addition to its normal load and is protesting the only way it knows how.

The Army still has goats and donkeys.

    See here for more details.

    Default Big Deuce

Big Deuce is a Ft Sill institution. Our DS used to remind us that the jackass outranked us. Short round too.
While i was there SFC Big Deuce was busted down to SGT because he kicked short round and killed him.

The Marines used donkeys to carry ECM's for dismounted patrol and it worked well.

With the exception of the baby blanket, this prime mover shows real promise and Yankee ingenuity - articulating front end and even has the wheels chocked when parked

    Red face

My grandfather served with mules (mountain artillery). A fellow soldier on his last day of service approached "his" mule from behind and kicked it, shouting "This is the last time I have to see you, you bugger". The mule reacted and a well aimed kick shattered his skull.

Never underestimate the hoofs of a strong mule...
