Default Foreign Relations of the United States

The University of Winconsin has a digital version of the Foreign Relations of the United States series from 1861-1960 and consist of 373 volumes about American foreign policy during the period beginning with the administration of Abraham Lincoln in 1861.
It's very a very user friendly collection, it is possible in every volume to search for specific words or phrases. And every volume has a well-arranged list of contents, which gives a general view of the different topics in each volume.

This amazing FRUS collection of documents is an indispensable tool for the student of U.S. foreign policy and is available at:

It is interesting to read the part of the Annual Message of president William McKinley from the 3th of December 1900, where he mentions the insurrection
on the Philippines and the American engagement on the islands (from page XXXIII:

FRUS is undoubtedly a very important collection of documents and vital when working with the central decision makers (the President, Secretary of State etc.) and their view and politics concerning counterinsurgency.
