Default Congressional Inquiry re Afghan Trucking Security

There are numerous reports that security contractors in Afghanistan frequently pay warlords and Taliban for protection through their zones of control. Such payments are alleged to be particularly rampant on the Host Nation Trucking contract by which 70% of all USG goods and materiel are shipped. I am looking to speak with USG officials, military, or contractors with direct or anecdotal experience with such payments. Completely off the record. Thanks.

    Default Small snag

Welcome aboard. I have moved the post to the RFI thread, where it sits better.

Secondly, members do appreciate knowing a little about each other, either on your profile or the 'Hail & Farewell' thread, allowing for privacy and OPSEC.

    Default Thanks, David

I'm new to the discussion board but have been a regular consumer of SWJ for the past year. I work for the National Security Subcommittee of the House Oversight Committee. The Subcommittee has broad jurisdiction to investigate waste, fraud, and abuse in U.S. national security.
