This situation is truly reaching crisis proportions. We have got to do more about it, and enlist our Pakistani allies in the effort as well. The effort has to be one of both civil diplomacy & military diplomacy. At this point there's quite obviously no place for any of the stakeholders to go but up.
Considering the permanent peak season for myths, partisan propaganda, tinfoil hats and conspiracy theories in the U.S. itself I'm not sure it's a bug. It might be a feature.

Sounds to me like you need to do homework first and maybe outsource information campaigns in distant places to others.
