Nerdy and boring is almost nerdy and boring of itself. No problem with opinion. I think I have had, and (perhaps) shared that and much worse on SWJ. The other stuff is gone, so, I guess I am winning a little bit. Fortunately, none of us on this site (that I know of) is a large publishing house trying to promote a best seller on someone's back. But, it is that old marketing saw: Good Press, Bad Press----just so he sells his books. That doesn't change. |

The person using the most negative ad hominems is losing the argument.
Winning that argument and $1.50 gets one a cup of coffee. Meanwhile, PvB is #469 in Books at Amazon. Junger's War (Restrepo book) is #16,408 in Books at Amazon. "Red meat books" sell. Regards Mike BTW: The TiCats took their American League 1st round playoff. The BrewCrew have just now taken their National League 1st round playoff. So, both go on to the next round; and a Tigers-Brewers World Series is possible. ![]() ![]()

Like I said.
They don't care how they get publicity. Heads they win, tails they win. |

James:
We have somewhat of a Tower of Babel (or House of Wisdom) going on with all the wealth of wisdoms shared on this site. Feel like I finally caught up a little bit with some of the contributions of others. PS: I here this fellow's diplo passport and clearance was revoked last week, and he was, apparently, escorted out of State on Monday. Sure is a strange way to work for your government, as so many of us on this Board have done for years without such occurences. Steve |
