The Baghdad Mosquito was a great product, so no doubt you have some great source material and I like your approach of looking at the war through Iraqi eyes. Should be a good read.

Thanks, Bill! I've gotten good feedback so far. It's more of an anecdotal book but Iraqis and Americans I know who were there say it brought back a lot of good memories...those who weren't there said they learned a lot.
Feel free to hit me up with any feedback you have! |

Carl,
You missed the opening sentence in the last paragraph of the NYT story, which is a classic: Quote:

Hi Bill,
I just wanted to second Bill Moore's comment on the Baghdad Mosquito. It, along with some other ad hoc outlets, helped me learn my job and immerse into Iraq during my tours. I can't speak highly enough about it. Good luck with the book sells. Mike |

Guys, thanks again for the support!
I remember the day Thom Shanker came and did his research for the article. I'm still in touch with him to this day. The ramifications of that article are talked about in the book, especially how they led to an interesting April Fool's Day. My favorite part about that year was creating the rumor mill, aka "What's the Word on the Streets of Baghdad?" Thanks for the good vibes, gents! Bill Putnam |

Below is a review that a book club did on the book: http://therayreader.wordpress.com/20...s-bill-putnam/ Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weekend! |
