If I were Clapper and the NSc advising Obama I believe I would do some thorough and very serious analysis into whether the current Russian UW strategy New Generation Warfare has been working or not working.

It has been a rather successful total Russian government success whether the NSC likes to hear it or not and nothing NATO has released as of yet seems to be a solid counter to it-- for I do not believe NATO and the US after triggering Article 5 will go to war with Russia over a handful of ethnic Russians waving flags, taking over buildings, holding demos and complaining of discrimination inside Estonia.

They are even reluctant to provide defensive weapons under the Budapest Memorandum thus why would they trigger a full scale war when as they initially and often would state---it is an internal affair??

But the Russian UW has and is highly successful up to this point even in the face of massive economic sanctions. The NSC and Clapper would do well in understanding just how successful it has been and note there are some serious single points of failure in it that yes even Russia adapted on the fly with.

The conflict in Ukraine, which has been full of escalations and de-escalations, is by no means over. http://social.stratfor.com/5Jp
