The Last Post @ Ypres: almost continuously since 1928
A short BBC News item on the impressive dedication of Ypres Fire Brigade in performing 'The Last Post' every evening @ The Menin Gate:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-33440968
The only gap being when Nazi Germany occupied this Belgain city 1940-1944. Today The Last Post will be played there for 30,000th time.
I've been twice and it is an impressive, sad moment. Ypres has a special place in British military history and is today a feature in many tours of 'The Western Front'. IRRC nearly thirty-five thousand names are on the memorial, for those who have known grave.
