In order to look intensively at the thread one would in theory thoroughly need to understand the Russian non linear warfare doctrine released by the Russians shortly after their military annexation of Crimea...with the two key cornerstones...

1. there is an ongoing active social media war afoot in the US driven by an alliance between the ultra right in Russia and Russian trolls and bots supporting a similar ultra right and right wing US social media botnets and blogsites..it has now reached the level of actual death threats against accounts known to be releasing accurate reporting on the Trump collusion and against anyone supporting them as well as mobbing and stalking...
2. they share the same conspiracy theories and fake news and they push all Wikileaks hacked emails of western leaders and or Clinton
3. the FBI is now expanding their Russian connections to Trump into this area was well especially between alt right ie white nationalist blogsites such as Infowars and Breitbart.com
4. Fox News has taken on the leading voice for this movement much in the same way Russia Today does for the Russian government....
5. an approved Congressional 200M USDs to be used in fighting back against this info war has been largely not used by the Trump WH nor has it queried Congress on how to use that money
6. we have seen a tight group of 30 proTrump alt right social media accounts push a massive disinformation attack against CNN built around FAKE information in order to discredit CNN and silence a MSM outlet
7. we have seen the complete personal voting records and other personal data on 200M US voters complied by a GOP contractor SCL placed onto an unsecured Amazon cloud server which after 21 days was "stolen"..by whom is not known....AND yet the Trump WH says not a single word about this massive data theft of US voter information
8. the Trump created "Fraud voting commission2 has basically requested the same exact information and that information will not be secured by US government facilities and internet security ..rather it will be stored somewhere in the WH and is to be used by WH...
9. we have seen Russian APT 28 a state sponsored hacking group hack the email accounts of the now French President and then released them in the same fashion as with the Clinton and Podesta emails
10. we have seen and confirmed an ongoing Russian disinformation and influence operation ongoing in Germany due to the coming election
11. we have seen a deliberate cyber war unleashed as a practice session on the entire Ukraine economy and it bled over to other major businesses resulting in economic losses exceeding 1B USDs
12. we now see in a Trump interview he still does not accept the proven fact that Russia both hacked and meddled and meddled is a mild word in the 2016 election
13. we know that a total of 21 State voting databases were in fact hacked and in six cases voter data was exfiled out of those data bases
14. we now that two "big data" companies SCL and Cambridge Analytica used an "voting social engineering concept" to drive a digital media messaging directly into the US against potential Trump voters and in an attempt to suppress Democratic voting.....ARE now under FBI investigation for exactly this "social engineering"....
15. we know that these tow companies where initially owned by Bannon current special advisor to Trump who sold them shortly before the election and who still sits on their boards...
16. we know that now the FBI Russian Trump investigation has expanded from initially 15 field agents to now a rumoured 170
17. we know the number of top flight success proven Federal prosecutors has now climbed to 16 working with SC Mueller in the areas of organized crime, money laundering, Russian collusion and obstruction/cover up
18. so 170 plus 15 does not seem to indicate as Trump constantly states.....everything is a "FAKE"......
19. we now see a very active attempt to shut down the 1st Amendment of free speech and free press with open and massive attacks on virtually the entire MSM AND an attempt to shut down all live cameras in the daily WH press conferences
19. we see an active and open Trump and Trump supporter attacks on US Federal judiciary decision and judges
20. Trump has to yet released his much promised US cyber defense plan and probably never will as he rejects the idea that Russia hacked the US
So to argue that we can simply move on and ignore it is like walking into a dark tunnel with no light facing an oncoming freight train with no lights and saying to ourselves everything is going to be fine....
