There is just something about DipNote that doesn't set right. No sarcasm intended but dipstick came to mind when I read DipNote. How about "the Schoomze 'em and Lose 'em Journal" instead?

A good idea but executed in a way that suggested no great prior familiarity with either the medium (blogging) or the visual design/functionality.

A lot of blogs looked like that in the early days of the blogosphere circa 2000-2002. hopefully, it will get better.

    The name isn't helping either.

    Default Dipnote...they need a consultant

Yes, as soon as I read the title of the blog, not even going over there, I thought about the name "how appropriate". Then I thought how much they needed a blog consultant and someone familiar with commercial advertising/branding.

That was definitely the "wrong note" to start on.

Also, the font is bad and they don't provide links to good working documents people can access to understand.

However, the response seemed to have been pretty good. And, since it has both US citizens and other nationals posting comments, its a great way to foster individual communications and ideas.

So, kudos with a few criticisms.

Almost ironic, isn't it? Considering the Madison Ave pedigree of the public affairs and public diplomacy group.

    Default Foggy Bottom

I normally don't use Wiki for more than references, but this one actually hits home just right !

Foggy Bottom is often used as a metonym for the United States Department of State, whose headquarters is located in the neighborhood, and referring to the State Department, evangelist Pat Robertson once recommended destroying Foggy Bottom with a nuclear device
