    Default AQ as Global Insurgency

    Is AQ a global insurgent movement/organization or pure terrorist organization? While this may seem like a no-brainer to many, over the past few weeks, I have read and heard varying opinions and many compelling arguments for both points of view. If so, is AQ today's version of the COMINTERN of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s?
